5. Support thecreation of parks approved in the Okanagan-Shuswap Land and Resource Management Plan (O-S LRMP) by the BC Government in 2001 (signage, monitoring, participating in public meetings). Work with BC Parks to maintain the integrity of these areas which have only been granted protected area status and to encourage moving them forward to attain full BC park status as intended by the O-S LRMP (five OSPS Directors participated in this process, so except for two who are deceased, have first hand knowledge of its goals).
