RASC, Edmonton Centre's participation and support continued to grow in 2016 when promoting and supporting Tourism Jasper "Jasper Dark Sky Festival", by supplying volunteer astronomer's and their equipment. RASC, Edmonton Centre promoted several public Astronomy events throughout Alberta including Beaver Hills Dark Sky Preserve celebrations, and many other Dark Sky Preserve celebrations hosted by several municipalities. New guest speakers predominant in the forefront of astronomy science continued to be scheduled for Public events. Implementation of hosted "Astro Cafe's" events directed at helping amateur astronomers develop and refine specialized Astronomical skills. Continued activities to refine RASC, Edmonton Centre's role in the restoration and re-purposing of the Historical Edmonton Queen Elizabeth Planetarium facility.
