Goldstream Volunteer Salmonid Enhancement Association is a
Animal Welfare Charity located in Victoria, BC.
Services Provided by Goldstream Volunteer Salmonid Enhancement Association
1. Captured salmon broodstock, fertilized and incubated eggs, fed & released fry to various waters around southern Vancouver Island. 2. Supplied eyed salmon eggs to approximately 100 local schools for use in the "Salmonids in the Classroom" project. Participated in various other educational projects. 3. Worked on habitat enhancement, stock assessment and construction of fishways in local streams. 4. Worked with the University of Victoria on a number of research projects involving salmon fry and genetics.
