(1)preventing needless euthanasia of cats by providing a permanent residence (11 bldgs) for special needs cats (senior,feral,disabled,injured) who arenot adoptable through usual community facilities.(2)Seniors who are moving into long-term care facilities and have no other option for their companioncat(s) are given preference so that they do not have to make the painful decision to euthanize their beloved pet.(3) assistance with the cost of spay/neuter or other necessary vet procedures in cases where the cost would cause a financial hardship to a family whom is otherwise providing a good adoptive home for the cat(s) or dog(s),thereby reducing the number of pets beingabandoned.
