The ASNTF has expanded its Strategic Plan to include providing support and guidance to our partner communities in designing and implementing a successful community based Dog Care and Control Program. During 2016, the ASNTF and Siksika Nation entered into a partnership to work together to develop and implement a community based Siksika Nation Dog Care and Control Program (SDCCP). The Program entails working closely with the Nation's lawyers to create bylaws that address not only animal welfare but also creating a safe environment for community members and providing ongoing support and guidance to the Siksika Nation.
