CPREP funded several projects in 2016, but the main activity was the PEGASUS Conference in the spring. Students who received a studentship for 2015 presented at the 2016 Pegasus conference. Each presentation focused on youth and peace education. One updated our Peaceful Childhoods programme and the other explored the knowledge of today's students about the threat of nuclear weapons. We had many speakers and workshops at the conference on education and research into peace including Nathalie Down's board game on nuclear weapons,"..." presenting on effects of unclear weapons and the possibility of unclear winter, "..." from Global Peace Centre working with Malala's family on peace education initiatives and "...", Chair of Peace Studies at McMaster University and her students discussing peace promotion. We also discussed peace building in Canadian context during through mental health of vulnerable groups.
