RESCUE: We rescued 195 new homeless or unwanted companion animals and contributed to shelter 77 by the end of 2016. ADOPTION: We found homes for 141 homeless pets. we have 147 pets in permanent foster homes. LOW INCOME VET CARE: We arrange for pets of low income owners to be spayed/neutered or treated for illness/injury. EDUCATION: We attend public events promoting responsible pet ownership. We publish information on responsible pet ownership in local papers, brochures and on our website. FERALS: We trap, spay/neuter & return feral cats for property owners willing to take care for them. COMMUNITY OPPORTUNITIES: We provide volunteer opportunities to students needing credit. We provide the opportunity for physically & mentally challenged citizens to visit the shelter and enjoy the companionship of pets. CRISIS BOARDING: We boarded pets for people in crisis situations who temporarily needed a safe place for them.
