Members continue to contribute to the scientific knowledge of birds by operating individual and cooperative banding projects, bird observatories and banding stations across Ontario. We continue to offer public banding demonstrations, give presentations on banding and offer assistance to people interested in learning more demonstrations, give presentations on banding and offer assistance to people interested in learning more about banding in Ontario. Publish Ontario Bird Banding & OBBA newsletter (2-3X per year). Participate in North American Banding Council. Present Janette Dean Award annually. In the fall of 2013, OBBA started the Wasserfal Memorial Award. This award is presented to a group or an individual to support bird banding and related studies of birds in Canada.
